Enjoying painting the second yoga mat, feel I understand the texture of the surface now & how I can play with it to create light & depth.

Dan Webber is an award-winning LGBTQ+ poet, promoter and producer based in Derby.
During his residency with us at Artcore, Dan will use the cabin to further expand on The Derby Witness, a poetry street art project written in response to the first Coronavirus Lockdown of 2020.
The Derby Witness comprises 49 lines of text submitted by members of the public, documenting their hopes, joys, fears and experiences during lockdown. Originally commissioned as part of Derby Re-Well Dressed 2020, this will be another opportunity for audiences to view the project in its entirety, discover what lockdown was like for members of their local community and to document their own experiences to be included in future exhibitions.
As part of the installation, Dan and The Derby Witness team will host free creative writing workshops and record new material in the space.
The Derby Witness is supported by the Derby City Council Small Arts Grant and sponsored by Cathedral Quarter Derby and St Peters Quarter Derby.
